I have great memories of my mom making us homemade instant hot chocolate in the winter. I carried on the tradition with my kids and wanted to share our easy instant hot chocolate mix recipe with you! This hot chocolate is sooo rich and delicious! I’m sure you’re going to love it! It’s really a comforting and delicious treat that can be enjoyed all year round.
One of the best things about hot chocolate is that you can customize it to your own taste preferences. One way to do this is by making your own homemade hot chocolate mix. This mix can be made in advance and stored in an airtight container for up to 6 months, so you can enjoy a warm cup of hot chocolate whenever you want. Here's my recipe for homemade hot chocolate mix that you can try at home.
When you're ready to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, take 3-4 heaping teaspoons of the mix and add to 8 oz of hot water. I always add tthe hot cocoa mix in the cup first and then add the hot water on top. Stir to avoid any lumps.

Note: You can customize the recipe according to your taste. Add more or less sugar or cocoa powder to suit your preferences. You can also use milk or water instead of hot water to make your hot cocoa.
